Terms of Use

Archive of Legends is a TropicDevWorx product, provided by Tropic Endeavors, LLC of Vero Beach, Florida. The site does two things: it shows what is currently on our eBay store, and it runs a buy list for Pokémon bulk.

You must be 18 or over to use the buy list. There are no accounts, so there is nothing to keep secure beyond the submission links we email you.

Every card on the shop links out to its eBay listing. The order, the payment, the postage, the returns and the buyer protection are all eBay’s, under eBay’s terms. We are the seller on that listing, but this site is not where the transaction happens and nothing on it is an offer to sell.

The shop is a mirror, refreshed every four hours. Prices, stock and availability on eBay are what count. If this site and the listing disagree, the listing is right — a card may have sold in the window since we last synced.

Links from this site to eBay carry an eBay Partner Network tag. If you buy after following one, eBay may pay us a commission. It costs you nothing and it does not change the price you pay.

Every one of those links is labeled as an affiliate link, next to the link itself rather than in a footer, because a disclosure you have to go looking for is not a disclosure.

The buy list has its own terms, and they are the operative ones for anything you send us: Buy List Terms. Where those and this page disagree about a submission, the buy list terms win.

The rates published on the buy list are real and we pay them. An estimate produced by the calculator is arithmetic on the numbers you typed in, and is worth exactly what those numbers are worth. It is not an offer, not a quote and not a contract.

Anything else on this site — what bulk is generally worth, what a full box usually comes to — is written to be useful, not to be relied on as a valuation. Nothing here is financial or investment advice.

Use the site for what it is for. Do not scrape it, do not hammer it, do not attempt to reach the admin area or other people’s submissions, and do not submit anything you do not own or that is not what you say it is.

We can refuse a submission, and we can stop dealing with somebody. We would rather explain why than not, and we will unless explaining it would itself cause a problem.

The site is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be available without interruption, that the shop mirror is complete at any given moment, or that every classification on it is right — the game and category on a card are worked out from its title, and a wrong guess changes which tab it appears under and nothing else.

To the extent the law allows, we exclude the implied warranties. What the law does not allow us to exclude, we do not try to.

Our total liability to you is limited to the value of the cards in the submission the claim relates to, at our published rates, or one hundred dollars if it does not relate to a submission.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profit. That limit is set out here rather than buried, because the honest place for a ceiling is where somebody can see it before they rely on us.

None of this limits anything that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud.

Pokémon is a trademark of Nintendo, Creatures Inc. and GAME FREAK Inc., and eBay is a trademark of eBay Inc. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of them. We use those names to say what we buy and where we sell it, which is what they are for.

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Florida, and any dispute belongs in the state or federal courts sitting in Indian River County, Florida.

If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest of them still stand.

We can change these terms, and the date at the top is when we last did. Using the site after a change means the new version applies.

A submission already on its way is the exception: it stays on the terms published on the day the carrier accepted it, which is the same postmark its rates are judged on. See the Buy List Terms for what happens if it is shipped late.
